Publishing Terms and Conditions
in English:
Right to Decline and Remove Content Clause:
Mooi Troues has the right to decline any submission.
Mooi Troues has the right to withdraw and retract any approved content without any restrictions or notices to any parties involved.
Mooi Troues reserves the right to remove any unpublished or published content without notice at any given time. Should any content, including but not limited to images, text, answers, referrals, credits, or businesses which forms part of an article, pose a risk to the reputation and name of Mooi Troues or is not in line with our mutual respect and discrimination policy, Mooi Troues will remove the unpublished or published content from Mooi Troues and all other platforms with immediate effect without any explanation or notices.
Right to remove service provider credits:
Mooi Troues reserves the right to remove any service provider’s credits or mention in any article at any given time should Mooi Troues receive complaints about the services or products the advertiser’s business delivers. If the complaint is such that it can damage the reputation of Mooi Troues or is not in line with our mutual respect and discrimination policy, Mooi Troues will remove the service provider credit from Mooi Troues and all other platforms with immediate effect without any explanation or notices.
Mooi Troues reserves the right to remove any service provider’s credits or mentions in any article at any given time should the service provider do anything that could damage the reputation of Mooi Troues.
Mooi Troues believes in equality and does not tolerate any discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to race; gender; sex; pregnancy; marital status; family responsibility; ethnic or social origin; colour; sexual orientation; age; disability; religion; HIV status; conscience; belief; political opinion; culture; language; or birth.
Should any advertiser or service provider be rude towards any other advertisers, readers, or Mooi Troues employees or the Mooi Troues brand, Mooi Troues has the right to remove any service provider’s credits in any article at any given time.
Terms pertaining to the couple/models:
Model Release:
The couple grants to Mooi Troues and their assigns, the right to use any image, likeness, and name in any manner worldwide, including but not limited to editorial use (which may include articles, blog posts, and social media content), advertising, and marketing. We, as the couple, agree to waive all moral rights and claims to compensation arising from the use of our image.
The couple gives permission to Mooi Troues to publish their photographs and videos, including but not limited to still images and the content within the photographs. To exclude any image from publication, the couple should not submit that specific image to Mooi Troues.
It is the responsibility of the couple to inform Mooi Troues in writing if there is anything the couple do not wish to include in their publication. The answers supplied by the couple will be published on Mooi Troues. It is the couple’s responsibility to exclude information they do not want to be published from their answers. Mooi Troues will not be held liable for any claims that come from the couple’s answers.
Mooi Troues reserves the right to modify the couple’s answers to remove any mentions of specific businesses, service providers, or products.
Should the couple ask someone else to submit their answers on their behalf, written permission should be given by the couple allowing the person who submitted the answers the right to answer on the couple’s behalf and submit these answers to Mooi Troues. Permission should be e-mailed directly from the couple to publikasies@mooitroues.co.za.
The couple takes note that Mooi Troues also has paid advertisers on their platform, and advertising includes but is not limited to tiered advertising propositions linked to contextual images in articles, premium credits, paid credit hyperlinks, banner advertising, directory advertising, sponsored editorial articles, giveaways, competitions, promotional pages, and social media campaigns.
Terms pertaining to photographers and videographers:
The Photographer has the right to decline any publishing request.
The Photographer remains the copyright holder but explicitly gives commercial permission to Mooi Troues to publish their photography and or videography work (also known as images and video) on any of Mooi Troues platforms not limited to the website, social media platforms, sales kits, media kits and or any other platform Mooi Troues uses.
The Photographer take note that Mooi Troues also has paid advertisers on their platform and advertising includes but is not limited to tiered advertising propositions linked to contextual images in articles, premium credits, paid credit hyperlinks, banner advertising, directory advertising, sponsored editorial articles, giveaways, competitions, promotional pages and social media campaigns.
The Photographer has the right to request Mooi Troues in writing within 7 days from the date the images were sent by the photographer or his/her nominated representative to not sell any premium credits for the specific article in the form of tiered advertising propositions linked to contextual images in the specific article. Exclusivity Clause:
Mooi Troues only publishes original content.
Content cannot be published elsewhere for 90 days after appearing on Mooi Troues.
The service providers and the couple are allowed to post the content on their websites or social media platforms.
The couple is allowed to enter their content into any competition platform.
If the exclusivity clause is broken, the content will be removed from Mooi Troues.
Publishing Waiting Periods:
After Mooi Troues receives the content from the couple or any service providers, the content will be added to a publishing schedule. To view the current waiting periods, please follow this link: https://www.mooitroues.co.za/publikasies/beskikbare-datums/.
Comments on Social Media:
Mooi Troues is not responsible for the content of comments left on social media platforms, including but not limited to discriminatory comments related to race, gender, sex, pregnancy, marital status, family responsibility, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, HIV status, conscience, belief, political opinion, culture, language, or birth. Mooi Troues will remove such comments within 48 to 72 hours of their appearance on social media posts, if possible, and may also block the commenter from the post or the Mooi Troues social media page.
General Publishing Terms and Conditions
Disclaimer: Mooi Troues cannot be held liable for any content, including write-ups, references to businesses or persons, that is submitted to Mooi Troues by the couple or service providers.
Liability Limitation:
Mooi Troues shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from any event beyond its control, including but not limited to:
- Total technical failure
- Pandemics, illnesses, or disasters (natural or unnatural)
- Changes to service providers or their business status
- Changes to Mooi Troues’ business structures or systems
- Computer viruses, bugs, or system failures
- Tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical interruptions
Mooi Troues is not responsible to maintain backups of write-ups, answers, or images.
Advice published by Mooi Troues:
Mooi Troues cannot be held responsible for articles written by a third party or answers provided in articles by a third party.
The content, including but not limited to articles published on Mooi Troues, does not constitute expert advice of any kind, whether legal, professional, medical, personal or otherwise. We advise readers to obtain their own advice from suitably qualified experts in their area. If a reader chooses to rely on the content, including but not limited to articles published, they do so entirely at their own risk and accept that Mooi Troues shall have no liability to the reader in this regard.
Mooi Troues cannot be held responsible if you buy and/or use any of the services or products you read about on the mooitroues.co.za website or social media platforms. Readers do so entirely at their own risk.
Subscribing to e-mail communication:
If a service provider or reader submits a request to be published on Mooi Troues, the individual or business gives permission to be subscribed to either the Mooi Troues sales or reader newsletters, as well as all communication platforms including but not limited to e-mails, newsletters, WhatsApp, SMS, or telephonic communication.
Should the service provider or reader have been unsubscribed before, a new submission or request to be published will automatically resubscribe them, as the service provider or reader gives explicit permission for Mooi Troues to subscribe them to future communication.
The service provider or reader can unsubscribe free of charge. Please refer to the “Unsubscribing to E-mail Communication” clause.
Unsubscribing to e-mail communication:
The service provider or reader can unsubscribe free of charge. An unsubscribe or e-mail communication preference link will always be displayed at the bottom of all e-mail communication from Mooi Troues, allowing anyone to unsubscribe.
If a service provider unsubscribes from Mooi Troues sales e-mails, the service provider will be permanently removed from our sales communication list. Mooi Troues reserves the right to remove the service provider from any other relevant database in the future.
The service provider’s website links, social media links, and/or e-mail links will be removed from any articles where the service provider was credited under on Mooi Troues. Mooi Troues reserves the right to also remove all tags and/or mentions of the service provider on any social media or online platform where Mooi Troues referred to the service provider.
Mooi Troues also has the right to remove a service provider’s credit from Mooi Troues and any social media or online platform.
If the service provider is not currently interested in advertising, simply reply to the sales e-mail or other communication advising Mooi Troues that you are not interested. Mooi Troues will add you to another database for later follow-up and not unsubscribe you totally.
