We are super excited, it's the 9th of May 2023 and the 10th Birthday of Mooi Troues.  Thank you to you, our loyal advertisers that made this dream a reality.  

Today, 10 years ago on 9 May 2013, Mooi Troues published its very first article. It was the wedding of Niel and Hestelle at Lourensford Wine Estate, planned by the bespoke wedding planner, Hannes Maritz from KRAAK and photographed by Celesté from Aglow Photography.

Back in 2013, Günther and Jaun, the founders of Mooi Troues quickly brainstormed the idea of an Afrikaans wedding directory and blog and worked hours with many cups of coffee and dedication to get the very first article online.  

Günther worked for lifestyle television shows, Top Billing, Expresso Show, and Afternoon Express, broadcasted to SABC3 at the time and Jaun in the hospitality industry.

They merged their wealth of experience and knowledge to build Mooi Troues. An award winning wedding platform used by thousands of brides-to-be busy planning their weddings. Want to read more about our story, click here.
